Talking Point: What Are Your Plans For The Xbox Games Showcase 2025?

Every year by myself, watching live on my Xbox and letting world premiere after world premiere wash over me…

I usually watch it with a fresh pot of coffee with my partner. I’ve done face time with some friends too. Haven’t missed one since the original series X.

My plans?
Same as always, read news articles after the thing is over to catch up on what was shown.
I avoid these types of showcases like the plague.

I'll probably watch it live. Alone, for sure, haha.

I'll be watching it here and chatting with fellow users. Hoping we see State of Decay 3, Final Fantasy 7 Remake (with a Game Pass announcement) and taking in what I highly suspect to be a very, very good showcase - with the odd few that will no doubt overlook the greatness of some reveals and highlight the fact that the some will go multiplat O_o

My expectations are low, but I hope to see big news about the new consoles, the achievement system, the store... things that will make us trust in the future of Xbox again.

@Gabrie I'd love an updated achievement system. Rare Achievements are just so dumb and we've not had anything new since then. I reckon, however, that we will get a big push on these fronts next gen.

I watch them on my own which I personally don’t mind

I watch them on my own. Wife could care less and a lot of the content isn't appropriate for my 8 yr old. Nice little break by myself.

Always watch with my ps5 owning friend, now it's great because we both get something out of them haha! He's a massive FF fan so he's rooting for 16 and 7r like me.

Only thing I don't want is a persona 4 remake, the OG is just too good as is 😭

I'll be watching it on my own since my daughter is only 5. Too many teen and mature related games on Xbox presentations. With the last two showcases being awesome, ill be fixing a drink if its not in the morning for us (tequila or bourbon on the rocks) and enjoying on my own. My wife isnt too interested in this stuff. 😋

Dont want any announcements like blade or everwild where we no nothing and not even approximate release dates.
Ideally to learn whats coming in next 6-12 months.
I personally want Fable, SOD3 and E-day

Depends on the time, hopefully get the kids to bed then crack open a cold beer. And hope we see gameplay and not BS cg trailers. Have enjoyed the last few probably more than the subsequent games, but always live in hope that things will get better

@Kaloudz I have hopes that they finally nail SOD formula, it has so much potential, I really hope they find a way to play with friends but we all gain progression, maybe it's not possible but a coop focused mode would even suffice

@OldGamer999 yay another remake of a remake, cannot wait, the halo universe is vast yet we have had 7.5 games with quality going off a cliff with the last 3. It' still breaks my heart what they did with is game series The fact that they ***** up the spiritual reboot so much meaning the next is a remake tells us all we need to know about the future of halo, dont get me wrong HI was good , but it was half a halo game with yet more focus on esports players rather than fun, someone needs to tell 343 or what ever the ***** they are called now halo was supposed to be a game casuals could gave fun with, pro players make up.1 % of the player base, although I suppose in that 343 drove away most of the casual halo fans pro players make up a bigger proportion of the few thousand people who still play a game that used to have millions of concurrent players on a single platform

I can't really name any gaming showcase Event in the past decade that was worth watching live. Even if there's a lot of worthwhile stuff in one, there's so much filler it's way less annoying to just read recap articles.

I doubt i will be home with nothing to do on a sunday at noon so I will probably catch the replay later or just read a summary. If I end up being free, then I will watch it on screen 2 while gaming.

I shall be watching live. Possibly on my own, though one of my son's (or both!) may choose to watch it with me.

My expectations are in check for this showcase. Usually I am bubbling over with excitement, but the lack of leaks has me wondering whether it is because there is little worthy of leaking. It is so unusual to hear absolutely nothing about what to expect. At this point, with less than 2 weeks to go, there are usually article over article detailing the minutiae of what we will see. This time? Nada... not a whisper.

Still, I guess the journos that have to write all the articles beforehand are sat twiddling their thumbs right now, but all the time knowing that soon they will be rushed off their keyboards with news to bring us. Best make use of that downtime, hey, @FraserG... 😂

I'm watching live from my living room while my wife sits next to me and stares into her phone

I miss E3. Between that and the state of Xbox my interest is pretty tempered. I'll still watch.

Same thing I always do. Load up on Chinese food and a bunch of Whiskey and enjoy the show alone in my living room.

I’m not interested enough to watch it. But I’ll definitely look at the headlines. I’m sure there will be lots of little things I’m interested in. Outer worlds is the only big thing I care about so far.

3am Monday morning in Australia but it’s always a public holiday so will be watching live by myself with a coffee or two.

@Fishysensei Same here. Could never understand the need for watching these shows just to watch the trailer for some game a few minutes before it's all over the internet.

I'm a big fan of Kinect, so I really want it to make a comeback.

Ignore it completely and wait for Pure Xbox to post a summary so I can go and watch the bits that I find interesting without having to sit through stuff that isn't.

@Valhura Totally agree with the progression side of things. That's the only drawback of SoD 2. I personally hate games where only the host progresses. I hope with SoD 3 we have the ability to create a shared world (a bit like MC Realms) where people with access can come and go as they please. That, and the ability to invade.

Watching and wonder how much longer my preferred ecosystem will exist.

I'm muting my chats, avoiding all gaming media until I watch it on YouTube later that evening. Mofos trying to leak and spoil everything nowadays so likely reducing the gaming news reading from now on as well. I just want to watch it without expectations so I can be e surprised if something unexpected happens

I'm going to try to watch it here on PX if I can remember. Should be fun on the bun.
