If you're of a certain age, you may recall the Golden Tee series of arcade games that were a big hit back in the '80s and '90s, and now Atari is teaming up with Digital Eclipse to revive Golden Tee in a new Arcade Classics compilation.

Golden Tee Arcade Classics is officially available to pre-order on the Xbox Store right now for £22.49 / $26.99, and features eight games in all - including two bonus games based on Shuffleshot and World Class Bowling.

Here's the full list of titles included in Golden Tee Arcade Classics:

  • Golden Tee 3D Golf
  • Golden Tee 97
  • Golden Tee 98
  • Golden Tee 99
  • Golden Tee 2K
  • Golden Tee Classic
  • Shuffleshot
  • World Class Bowling!

Now, those who recall these Golden Tee games will remember they used a trackball - something you can seemingly make work on Xbox, but it's not exactly a common thing - so instead, they've added a virtual one into this collection.

Will that be enough to make this collection feel like the real deal? Who knows, but Digital Eclipse has done great work with the likes of Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration and Tetris Forever, so we're excited to see how this one fares.

Golden Tee Arcade Classics has a release date of July 17th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

Tee up the old-school fun! Golden Tee Arcade Classics brings eight legendary arcade classics home – no quarters required. An on-screen virtual trackball lets you set up the perfect shot, adjusting your swing strength and shot direction just as you would on an arcade cabinet. You can also choose to play using a gamepad, touchscreen, touch pad, trackball, or mouse and keyboard, depending on your platform.
