Last October, the studio behind Silent Hill 2 and previously The Medium unveiled new IP Cronos: The New Dawn - and today, the Polish developer has showcased some proper gameplay from the title for the very first time.
We're getting big Dead Space vibes from this one, mixed with some subtle influences from the team's work on Konami's Silent Hill series - and that's not a bad combination, is it! Here's how IGN details this new gameplay trailer which it shared online earlier today:
"In Cronos: The New Dawn, take on the role of a Traveler, an agent of the enigmatic Collective with a mission to extract selected people who didn’t survive the apocalypse from the past. To complete the Collective’s mission, you will need to survive a deadly wasteland created by a cataclysmic event known as the Change, filled with monstrous abominations that will challenge players’ combat abilities."
If Cronos can live up to what this trailer is delivering on, spooky game fans could in for one heck of a ride when The New Dawn hits Xbox Series X and S later this year. Remember, Bloober Team said it was done making "sh*tty games" during a recent interview after the release of SH2 - and we're hoping that's well and truly the case with this one heading to Xbox very soon.
