Xbox has enjoyed a string of fantastic first-party releases over the past six months-or-so, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 is part of the lineup for later this year - with the first hands-on previews hinting at another big success.
Yes, even despite the changes to THPS 4's career mode, the vast majority of previews are very positive about Pro Skater 3+4 so far, and we'll throw some of those impressions down below. We also need to mention that Bam Margera has been confirmed for the game! His trailer was released just a few hours ago on YouTube (seen above).
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 has a release date of July 11th, 2025, and it'll be included as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate from day one. Here are some of the hands-on previews we've spotted for THPS 3+4 this week:
IGN
"From its faithful recreation of what made the PS2-era classics so memorable, to its modern quality of life improvements, excellent soundtrack, and overall love letter to the series early days, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is very much something that should be on your radar if you’re a fan of skateboarding, enjoy action sports games, or just want to play something that's simple and fun."
Game Informer
"After spending several hours revisiting these glory days with old digital friends like Tony Hawk, Bucky Lasek, Bob Burnquist, and the rest of the roster, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 has become one of my most anticipated games of 2025."
GamingBible
"One of [its] new levels, Water Park, was available during my preview, but I can tell you now it’s an absolute blast. Had Iron Galaxy not told us it was a brand-new level at the start of our session, I would have assumed I’d just forgotten it was in the original game. A bright, colorful park full of twisting slides to grind down and empty pools to drop into, it’s a joyous experience that slots right in alongside the classics as if it were always part of the family."
GamesRadar
"I walk away from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 feeling like a kid again. Ready to sink countless hours into learning the perfect combo string in Foundry or searching for hiddens secrets in the frat-filled College."
Screen Rant
"The gameplay is tight, the presentation is stylish, and the trademark sense of cheeky fun is baked into every challenge. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 is a great proof that the series still has plenty of room to grow, and it's bringing fans new and old alike for the ride."
