Here at Pure Xbox, we're keeping an eye on Switch 2 to see how Nintendo's new console launch goes, and we're definitely excited by the prospect of playing Xbox games on the new hybrid system. While Microsoft hasn't detailed much of its Switch 2 plans yet, the Activision team has just announced its first release date over there - for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4.
Yep, this isn't a particularly surprising announcement given that the remasters were already confirmed for Switch 1 next month, but the Tony Hawk team has now confirmed a full Switch 2 release date as well. The Switch 2 edition of THPS 3+4 will release alongside every other version on July 11th, 2025.
For now, we don't know how the Switch 2 version of the game will compare to its previous-gen counterpart (yep, that feels weird to say), but we'd assume that Nintendo's new system has enough grunt to bring it much closer in-line with the Xbox Series X|S versions of the game - particularly Series S. Time will tell, of course, with just over a month to go until launch.
Here's what Xbox & Activision are bringing to the table with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, straight from the game's Switch 2 landing page:
"Get hyped for the legendary franchise to return with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4. Everything you loved is back, but revamped with more skaters, new parks, gnarlier tricks, eardrum shattering music, plus a whole lot more.
Alert the neighborhood watch and grab your skate buddies because the shred’s not dead. It’s back and better than ever."
