Re: Roundup: Here's What The Critics Think Of Starfield So Far

@Snake_V5 returnal 86, miles morales 85, Rift apart 88, forbidden west 88, gt 7 87, I could keep going but I think you see what I mean. Might should fact check before you say all Sony 1st party exclusives are 90+ meta cause the truth is this gen hardly any of them are. Guess those are all mediocre too

@Sol4ris I mean just cause a couple recent releases perform better on ps5 doesn’t mean Microsoft lied or the ps5 is more powerful. Have we forgotten deadspace already? The series x looked much better since it had system level vrs that the ps5 had software based. Ps5 owners complained so they removed the feature on both for parity sake. Or take the newest plague tale for example it was dramatically better on series x according to digital foundry. I think it really boils down to what the lead platform is.

Re: Microsoft 'Likely' To Offer Remedies Soon For Activision Blizzard Deal In Europe, Claims Report

@uptownsoul no company does an infinite deal better known as in perpetuity. No one knows what the future holds. For example McDonald’s has to renew their licenses for their drinks from time to time with sprite etc. it is not in perpetuity or a forever contract. That’s why HI-C went away for a period of time. Same concept. It’s not back tracking and is dramatically longer than most contracts. After that Sony can re-negotiate to renew just like any other contact.

Re: Bethesda Artwork Reveals First Mention Of Ghostwire: Tokyo On Xbox Series X And S

@fatalbubbles I just finished deathloop last night. I HATED at 1st cause I wanted it to play like dishonored. Dishonored is more stealth 1st fps 2nd. This is more fps 1st and stealth 2nd. Once I finally realized that and played it that way, it’s one of my fav games this gen. Amazing story telling putting it all together. Looking forward to ghostwire as well.

Re: Xbox & PlayStation Stuck In 'Complicated' Call Of Duty Situation, Says Geoff Keighley

@markatron84 I agree to an extent but just like with Bethesda games it’s gonna come down to how much Microsoft values that “lost” revenue vs potential new game pass customers. People said the same thing about starfield…”no way Microsoft would pass up that kind of money” and they clearly are. They’d rather have new customers in their ecosystem than put elderscolls etc on other platforms anymore. So financially never say never. Also and, not saying you specifically, what people fail to point out in all these lost revenue arguments is that in the case of both elderscrolls and COD, in the 360 era as far as player bases for those 2 specific games the roles were very much reversed. So this argument of Microsoft doesn’t want to lose out on 60-70% of a particular games player base doesn’t hold weight when it used to be that those same 60-70% played on an Xbox platform. Microsoft does not need Sony to make money or be profitable as I believe Phil has said before

@themightyant the less exclusives comment was in reference to things to not just being tied to a single console but to be on other devices like pc, phones, etc as well. Not that Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo shouldn’t have exclusives for their own ecosystem. You can tell that’s what he meant as in that same article/interview he mentions other companies (Sony) may not like it but it’s what’s best for gaming.

Re: Sniper Elite 5 UK Sales Figures Show Huge Xbox Game Pass Impact

Gr81

At the end of the day it’s just uk boxed sale which doesn’t represent the rest of the world nor digital sales. Sony fan boys like to use this as argument against gamepass every chance they can get. The truth of the matter is if it was that detrimental to sales then publishers would stop doing it. Clearly there’s value in it as publishers/developers aren’t going to repeatedly do something that’s going to make them less money.

Re: Move Over Microsoft, Embracer Group Buys Square Enix's Western Studios

Gr81

I’d only rather have this than activision. The more I think of the activision deal the more I think it’s games like wow and cod staying multi platform and printing money which will fund other studios games as well I guess. Embracer and recent are much more of a monopoly than anything Microsoft has done.
